The Sal LoBaido Community Service Award

This award is presented each year top someone who best exemplifies Sal LoBaido's extraordinary combination
of community volunteerism, leadership and unselfish dedication to the Saint Paul Winter Carnival and
the community-at-large. Selection criteria includes the characteristics of leadership, commitment, teamwork,
positive attitude, support of Winter Carnival and other related activities that enrich our community.

Remembering Our Friend,
Salvatore (Sal) Lobaido

1932-1987

Sal was Prince of the North Wind in 1976. During his tears of involvement with the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, he saved on the Board of Directors
and as President of the North Wind Organization. Sal and his wife, Francesca, (Corky) shared their energy, enthusiasm and giving spirits, symbolic of
their commitment to their community. Today, Corky continues to serve as an active volunteer supporter of Winter Carnival.
Her involvement includes serving as past president of the Ambassador's Association, assisting with the Queen and Princess selection process,
and helping with wardrobe selection for the Queen and Princesses.
